Agressive Driving

Ok, I know I'm not the only one out there with a lead foot, I've only mashed it a few times off the line and have done a few burnouts. mostly just drive more aggressive than most people. My question is, can these new trucks take it or do I need to mellow out?? 2015 5.3. I seem to think every truck next to me wants to go! lol.

I've a semi lead foot on the take off, do a tire chirp or light burn sometimes 40 plus years driving no adverse affects. On the freeway though I tend to stay just a couple miles over, more relaxing. Even done some light drag racing at the track still no adverse effects on my ride through the years.

the automatic trucks, my dad and I both are heavy on the throttle.

2016 gmc

that new 5.3

1500 miles on it now.

my dad manages to slide sideways in 4x4 and a g80 rear end.

I managed to fish tail getting on the highway.

I think he looks forward to his 550 cummins, and I go back to my 358000 mile 5 speed 305 gmc.

Takes some getting used to..and it feels like that retards electron throttle is telling us we are stupid.

No mechanical feel whatsoever.

Yeah, fly by wire sucks. These trucks do not like to be driven lightly I have found.

I was going to say, my 2015 6.2 drives like a Corvette on a 4x4 chassis!

How so?

My 5.3 has a bit of a throttle lag, that's why I am heavy on the gas to over come it. If I had the 6.2. I would be in trouble for sure, lol.
