2017 1500 Radio not reading USB 3

Got new 17 all terrain yesterday. Loaded a new usb stick with music. I guess it doesnt like USB 3 sticks

 

stuck a old slow usb in and it works.

 

Both formated fat 32

 

 

So wasted $20 on the super short USB stick 3.0 speed. wanted the short one so it doesnt stick out of the port in truck. out of the way.

don't know if this helps, but here is what the owners manual says,

USB Port (Base Radio

with Touchscreen)

Using the USB Port

The infotainment system can play

music or movies by connecting an

auxiliary device to the USB port.

USB Support

If equipped, the USB connector is in

the center stack below the climate

controls, and uses the USB 2.0

standard.

USB Supported Devices

. USB Flash Drives

. Portable USB Hard Drives

Not all iPods and USB drives are

compatible with the USB port.

Usually the sticks themselves are backwards compatible... you may have better luck with a different model or brand. Sometimes it happens that way. I wouldn't give up on 3 just yet.

Also did you use the exact file with the exact format to double check on both sticks?
