My Dad has a 2014 Sierra SLT. He went to jump start a friend and the next morning when he got in to start the truck, it wouldn't turn over. He started and turned off the truck a few times after the jump, but like I said the problem surfaced the next morning. He's on his second battery, I'm just wondering if jump starting caused a problem or maybe it's time for another battery. He had his current batt checked and said it was good.

There is a published procedure in the owner's manual for jump starting another vehicle. While I have not done or witnessed this personally, damage can be done if the recommended procedure is not followed. Ask your Dad if he remembers the sequence he used to attach the jumper cables.

Have him unhook the battery cables, touch them together briefly to discharge any residual power in the system, leave them off for 30 min or so, re-connect, and see if that solves the issue.

swap the battery. the battery is my wives 2016 Tahoe was deemed "good" after she came out to a truck that would not start. swapped for a new battery and no problems since. my 2014 1500 had numerous electrical problems with a "good" battery, had it swapped out and never another problem while I had it.

I had to jump my truck a dozen times and I followed the proper procedure. I don't drive it but on the weekends and some weekends I didn't drive it. I bought an odyssey battery and haven't had issues since. If you haven't modified the electrical in anyway take it to the dealership to test the battery. The OEM battery failed on mine.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra. I jumped another car. While doing so I tried to press the accelerator, nothing happened. I then took the cables off and placed my truck into reverse, the dials would not show what I was in. While trying to back up my accelerator would not work...and my power steering went out. I turned the truck off and then on again, but there was still no power steering and the accelerator wouldn't work. Now my truck won't turnover, but the battery is operational. We have checked the battery and all fuses and they are all good. No clue ehats going on with my truck.
