Not sure if it's just me, but the pedal travel on this truck seems so excessive to get going. I feel like I have to be gunning it just to get going normally. Also, I'm not a big fan of the shifting strategy on. My v6 truck. Is there anyone out there that fixes these things? Not really looking for power or economy, I'm happy with those.

I don't understand the problem people have with pedal travel. I drive 4 different vehicles every week that have different power inputs regarding pedal positions. I have one that has an eco button that puts the power on the bottom of the pedal, off it close to the top. Ultimately all the power is there just a different levels of input. There are different products out there that hook to the pedal to move the power to the top of the pedal if desired. I think some of the issues people are experiencing is they don't notice the traction control is engaging and pulling throttle input. My GMC would spin the tires at 1/2 throttle.

It only bothers me at light throttle. It's plenty fast but I feel like I have to "work" to make it accelerate at a decent pace. I press the gas a little bit and the truck doesn't respond.

The connection on the pedal actually moves bc it's not braced well. Some trucks don't have the issue. Mine doesn't have it bad until you push it to the floor, but others have extensive travel before the pedal starts to feed the gas.

I was lucky I didn't have that problem

Correct. My pedal moves about half an inch before the throttle starts to increase, then the next half inch it moves a little more. After that, it seems linear. I have a theory that it isn't consistent either, maybe it depends where on the pedal my foot is.
