Redesigned AC line coming to help with cracking

One of our 2015's is in the shop for another cracked AC line. This time it was the newer redesigned one that failed. GM said hold off on repairing as the current part is on back order and to be replaced with updated design. Another redesign line should be released within 2 weeks. Hope this one holds up better to cracking. We will see. I will update the changes once the truck gets repaired.

Their is a bracket you can install for the 2014 down the near compressor that is supposed to help with the lines cracking. I will see if i can find the TSB.

So will there be any kind of recall on this down the road. I am a low mileage driver (about 5k miles a year) so if it happens to me it will probably be after my warranty is up in August.

This is not a safety item. Don't expect a recall.

This is an ongoing problem with all K2 vehicles, not just the trucks.

That stinks but it is the chance I took when I bought a first year model truck.
