Took my truck to the track again. This time with an e85 tune. Was a little warmer this weekend 63 degrees. Same mods as before 2017 Silverado Z71 Double Cab 1LT 4x4 5.3 6 speed, 265/65/18R wheels and tires, 3.42 gears, K&N Drop in filter, Spintech 6000 muffler, Klug Performance tune, full street weight of 5500lbs with me in it, and 1/4 tank of e85. Truck was brake stalled to 2400rpm, launched in 4wd, manually shifted to 6200rpm, Traction Control off. Made 4 passes, 14.30 @ 96.38 2.03 60ft, 14.30 @ 96.01 2.02 60ft, 14.31 @ 95.97 2.05 60ft, and 14.33 @ 95.93 2.06 60ft. Very happy with my results out of this truck. With the tune and e85 that is 9 tenths and 9mph faster in the 1/4 mile than stock. Huge thank you to Klug Performance for those gains.

nice run!

I still do not have a track to go to.

my 21 year old has no slow mode...with the "wimpy" 5.0..

these posts drive my curiosity.

I wonder if I'd get out of third gear.. I am thinking it will... the last blip to 100 in fourth.

5500# with you in it.. I was under the impression the new trucks were 1500# heavier than my 1996.

I am at nearly exactly 5000 with me in it...5100 is a non surpising guess. Should be 4770 dry.

I had to change some steel structure to MUCH heavier +100 static, oddly magnified more than that in the truck.

very stiff.

I already broke tranny mount sideways, getting on the highway.

I'll try it out someday.

Congrats on the great times, representing the 5.3! We are also running E85 and similar times in our family race truck, but it's an older 5.3
