Eagle eyes aftermarket headlights

I have recently bought these eagle eyes headlights from eBay and I couldn't find much information on them anywhere so I decided to post it here.

These headlights are pretty great and fit perfectly like factory. The headlights have led bars and use h7 bulbs. These do not technically work with drls unless you splice the blue wire to the led to the low beam headlights or where the drl wire goes on the connector.

They were famous a few years ago but GM caught wind of it and shut Eagle Eyes down since the headlights were so close to OEM. You are lucky to find a set -- they are considered one of the best aftermarket ones you can buy for the GM trucks.

These look like a nice options for the Silverados. I've sent them a message asking about the wiring for the DRL strips. H7 low beams vs the stock H11.

This a direct plug and play? Do they have white surround housings in place of the stock looking chrome?

I wish they made aftermarket headlights with just the U shaped tube LED. All of those smaller white leds on the bottom of the headlight look very aftermarket to me. Or if you could somehow change those to Amber for the turn signals that would look pretty cool.

How's that U bar led during the day time? Is it just as bright as factory DRLs?

those wont work like drls. In one of the pictures you can see the connector only has 5 pins. there is 2 ways to make those drls: one, if your truck has the low beams acting as a drl with no actual drl wires you will have to splice the blue wire to the leds and connect it on the + low beam wire because the blue wire to the leds are connected to the parking break. Second, if your truck has a separate drl wire on the connector you will have to splice the blue wire to the leds, crimp it on a pin and put it into the connector where the drl wire is supposed to go.

yes they are plug and play but if your truck has drls you will have to do modifications to the headlights.

the leds u bar has 2 wires. one black and one blue. the black one is negative or ground and its connected altogether with the parking light and high/lowbeam light so you wont need to touch that. The blue wire to the leds are actually connected to the parking lights. So depending on your truck drls you will have to splice into the blue wire and connect it either to the lowbeam or put in in the right spot on the connector for the drls

yes they are just as bright as the factory drls. But these lights are wired like the leds arent used as a drl. So depending on how your truck drls are you will have to splice the blue wire that goes to the leds and connect it either to the low beam + wire or put it in the connecting harness where the drl is supposed to be. only way to change those leds to amber is the completely take apart the headlight and install new leds.

Got an email from the manufacturer. He said there is no splicing required. The led strip and your low beams will be on acting as your DRL.

Yes this is true if they wired the led to your low beams from factory. In my case the sierra headlights were not. They were wired to the parking lights not the low beams. So I had to splice mine and connect it to the low beams to act as a drl.
