Nav screen when in Stereo mode doesn't scroll station presets....q

So I've been meaning to ask this long ago, but keep forgetting.

When I'm listening to SiriusXM and am say on Hits One channel. On the Nav screen in the center of the dash, when in the stereo mode it shows the song playing.

On the bottom of the screen shows the 6 preset stations at a time. You can swipe it (which is silly) to get to the next set of 6 presets, but here's my beef:

When I'm on the first page of presets and with the steering wheel station selector, when I scroll through those 6 presets and go to the 7th one, on the Nav screen it doesn't automatically scroll over to the second page of presets to show which station I'm on like every other auto made.

Do I have this option off or something?

My 2017 Sierra is the first new GM auto I've ever bought of the dozens and dozens I've owned.

I got a 2017 Chevy SS a month and a half ago, and it's My Link screen scrolls to the next page of presets automatically when I use the steering wheel control to go through the channels so what's up with the Sierra?

Thanks guys for any help.

I think the answer to your question is, no, the steering wheel controls do not move the presets on the nav screen. I think the only way is to "swipe" them to go to the next page. If this not the answer, just let me know.

^That is the answer. It does not automatically scroll it for you through the steering wheel controls.

Yes the answer is 2 posts above. And also if you use the "search" function on these forums this has already been discussed many times.

Thanks guys, that's what I needed to confirm. Major fail from GM on a 2017 (or even in 2014 when this truck version came out) vehicle.

Agreed, the whole "swiping" this in a PITA. Never have liked it, or really taken the time to figure out how to make it work as designed.

The rear controls on the left side of the steering wheel in the '16s/'17s do not scroll the presets on the 8" Nav screen, but do bring up and scroll through the 6 radio presets on the 4" screen in the gauge cluster. No need to hit enter to select, selection is by the last station the cursor rests upon. No idea if it will scroll through multiple screens since I only use one.

If you have the option on your truck and want to browse through your preset radio channels without changing the nav touchscreen, simply use the Driver's Info screen in the center of the gauge cluster. Using the steering wheel buttons go to audio, then use the arrow button to page over to the menu on the right and select favorites. All your presets are there for you.
