Question about stock running boards

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 2017 Denali 2500. It came with factory running boards that I planned to remove for AMP research retractable steps. I found out that the AMP steps don't fit the new truck and the stock steps are too close the the door to make them useful.

Does anybody know of the stock steps can be dropped 3"-4" lower?

Great idea, except it's not yet possible to 'tune and delete' the '17+ duramax.

I met a guy a couple months ago that did his. Def gone. Egr had two blocker plates. He said he had close to 1200 lb-ft torque tune as well.

Pretty sure the L5P has no tuna yet available

Would be interesting to see what he's using for a tuner

Seems a shame that these super expensive diesels are so emissions choked off. Yeah they make great power, but diesels used to be reliable for ever, slow, but rock solid. Now they have made them strong, but seemingly, nothing but problems, all in fueling and emissions equipment. Just an observation.
