Hi guys, G from Belize. Having some problems with my 2007 Avalanche 6.0 that i havent been able to solve. Hopefully i can get some help from you guys and one day help someone down the road. thanks.

So ive got an 07 LTZ Avalache with the 6.0 and 125k miles for the past 7 years with no problems. a few weeks back it started to lose power, got to the point where the engine bogs down and backfires through the intake when u push hard on the accelerator, below is a list of things that ive done.

1: brought up a throttle actuator code, i changed the throttle body.

2: P0341, i have changed three camshaft position sensors in the past two years and a day later the code reappears. idles rough and horrible fuel mileage.

3: changed spark plugs. ac delco iridium

4: fuel pump pressure gauge reads at 55psi when idling, stomp on the accelerator and it falls to about 10

5: changed 2 fuel pumps in the past week. no difference.

6: thought it might be a clogged cat converter, unscrewed the cat assembly from the exhaust, still bogs out.

7: had a mechanic test the injectors, said all were working properly.

and thats where im at. any help would be greatly appreciated

If your loosing fuel pressure like you say, that is where I would concentrate your efforts. Have you changed the pressure regulator? Have you checked for a clogged fuel line? Have you changed the fuel filter? If all that checks out, you might want to start looking ar fuel injectors.

They are regulated and filtered at the pump. Nothing external

The 2 new fuel pumps in the past week, what brand of pumps did you use?

Still sounds like a fuel flow issue. Maybe disconnect the fuel line at the rail and hot wire the pump. See if you have good flow. Then maybe pull the fuel rail and injectors and check flow in the rail.
