Load assist

I put this kit on my truck because it sits on top of the spring and not the axle. I have the rough country lift level kit wich adds an additional 1" thicker block under the leaf. So the problem you will have Is in theory you would need to also add that additional lift between the bag and the frame or axle as well with most of the other kits. Yes it's only rated for an additional 2000 lbs but remember it's still just a 1/2 ton truck.

I have been running 10psi in them empty and 30 loaded with the camper and I honestly think it rides a little better empty as well as loaded.

Shocks don't support loads they control suspension motions.

Technically speaking, there are air shocks...not that I would recommend them... [emoji3]

I added Airlift airbags to my 2012 Extended Cab and then removed and added to my 2015 Crew Cab, Both 1500 Silverado. I also added the onboard compressor and remote. They work great and don't make the truck ride bad. I tow a 14 x 7 V nose tandem axle trailer. Empty (5 lbs of air) no change in ride quality. I use 15 lbs or 20 lbs of air loaded.

Thanks for all the input guys, very helpful. I think I'm going to wait till I lift the truck a couple more inches before adding the spring. I really want to lift it more and add bigger tires, maybe 35s then see how it handles the loads.
