Help: Morimoto headlights quit working

Good evening gentlemen,

 

I noticed a few days ago one of my headlights was out. I noticed when I turned my lights of and on again it would flash for a moment and then die out. A couple days later my other headlight goes out, no flash, nothing.

 

I've checked all of the connections, ground is good, +/- good, everything appears to be solid. Headlights have been on for a year and there have been no changes to the truck in recent months.

 

Any idea what could cause the lights to go out in that fashion?

It's a 15 gmc 1500. Not sure if that relevant.

Obviously there are a lot of things it could be. The flickering sounds like an igniter, and the other bulb needs troubleshooting. Make sure the terminals haven't gotten water in them

When mine went out it was one of the relays. Theretrofitsource will diagnose it for you step by step if you bought them from there.

I had a goofy scenario where one of mine wasn't on earlier this week when I went to back the truck out of the garage, turned the knob off then back on again and has worked correctly ever since. There certainly are a lot more things that can go wrong with these lights but hard to beat the output.

I agree. Was in a f150 before this truck and never had an issue. With the stock lights I couldn't see anything to the left or right when going around corners and it was difficult to see anything far ahead. I live in the country and we've got to be able to see wildlife.

 

I didn't realize how bad they were until we bought my wife a mustang gt. The lights are amazing.
