TC traction control ON. Try to foot brake around 2200 rpm, manual shift it to red line, spinning ain't winning. Let us know how you do.

You need someone to flag the start? lol

I'm thinking maybe he has the 6.2 and doesn't even know. It's an LT trim

If he has the 6.2 in his Hoe you might as well hang it up. Find a drag strip in your area & do it under the lights, waaay more fun & safe plus you get those ET slips that tell you what your doing.

33x12.5 tires versus your truck in stock form would make the difference. That level doesn't help, no surprise here.

I guess I didn't expect the level and tires to make such a big difference. Before this set up I managed to pull a car length on a '14 civic Si from a dig so I thought the Tahoe was in the bag

Broke in engines quicker; tire size and 4wd weight; level vs drop. All these are a minus to you and plus to him. Gov is 100 so did both of you get cut? If not he has a tune...

Mine actually rolled to 105 and cut which I was surprised about. He claims to have hit 101 and cut off

Ok guys so we lined them up again. This time I launched in 2wd so I wasn't able to get ahead of him since I got a bit of wheel spin. Once again he got me by a full car length by the time we reached 90. The second race was from a 15 mph roll and he pulled on me once more. He claims to have a bone stock 5.3 just like mine. I guess the leveling kit and 33s really take a toll on performance. I just never thought it'd be this bad. I still think he's got a tune, I'll let myself believe that.

So, were you or him shifting in manual or auto? both trucks going through the gears about the same time? those bigger tires will make your truck shift later & rob you power as you try to wind it up. just sayin'...

Both in manual. His shifts were quicker and sharper
