I've been driving a Tesla Model X this weekend...

Awesome. Comfortable. Attention-getter extraordinaire.

If you drive it to demonstrate the "ludicrous" setting, you'll sit your ass at your office for two hours, charging it at 80a @208v. Last night I plugged it into a 115v 15a plug in my garage and ten hours later, I had added 40 miles of range. (3 mi/hr). If you have a Tesla, you need a dedicated circuit. You can afford that, though.

The monroney sticker was in the glovebox. $164,200.

It's owned by a sister company and they're allowing us to use it to get familiar with the electric transportation technology. Yes, I'd say Elon Musk has mature, market ready technology.

0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Feels like Disney's electric propulsion Rock n Rollercoaster. 762hp. Falcon wing rear doors. Three rows.

And I'm still eager to return it and get my truck back. It's nice ce though.

They got 3 phase generators, bigger than the garage circuit you may find it on...

I bet those batteries would love that.

even harbor fright has them.. less then 600.

must be interesting to drive.

Yea. Went to the office and hit it with the 208v 80a (X 80%, which is a Tesla program...) and got enough fire to drive it 75 miles back to our corporate office so a work buddy can pick it up in the morning. The charging station at work provided 40 range miles/ hour.

Very interesting. The ludicrous mode is exactly that.

I played around on the highway, at 65mph I was ticking off a range mile every 45 seconds; at 60mph it was every 55 seconds. Pretty close when accounting for moderate highway hills, temperature 89*F, etc. I admit to having a little range anxiety but apparently not warranted.

I'll tell you what I did do though. After getting back in my truck, I pulled into the first Exxon station and filled up. Even though I had 1/2 a tank!
