Did u remove the whole headlight to get the bezel off? I'm trying to apply vvivid headlight tint and it's a pain with that bezel on it. I already screwed the passenger tint up and have to redo it. It'd be 100× easier with that piece off.

Yes, the headlight was removed from the truck before the bezel was removed.  It'll be a pain in the ass to remove the bezel if you're just tinting.

But I'd personally say don't tint the actual headlight.

Very easy to remove once you have the bezel off. If anyone has any questions about this removal, feel free to ask as I just finished doing this. I was able to remove my bezel, remove the painted blue lower filler piece, then reinstall the headlight trim without using any new 3M tape. Stuck right back on. I’m sure it depends on how old your headlight assembly is.

My driver-side one came off at less than 12K miles and the dealership installed a new replacement. After 30K miles the passenger side one came off, too. There are no visible signs that any of the latches were broken. Instead, it happened once the weather got warm here in Alabama and the adhesive strips gave way. I reconnected the clips multiple times, but after every short trip, they came loose again.

Industrial contact adhesive solved the problem.

Wondering if this issue is peculiar to the ones from the Silao, Mexico assembly plant?

I had the same exact thing happen to my 2016 Silverado built in Mexico. First the passenger side came off. Dealer replaced entire light assembly. Than soon after the drivers side came off. Dealer repaired with new double stick tape. I asked why they didn’t replace whole light this time and they said GM came out with repair kit for the problem. I think the issue is the headlights get so hot the original double side tape they use to attach dries out.
