Will LED trailer lights work with 2014+?

Tried to find the answer but wasnt able to, maybe someone who has LED lights on their trailer can let me know.

 

If i replace all the filament lights to LED lights on my boat trailer, will i get an error on the dash?

I have a 2014 sierra SLT with the integrated brake controller and factory tow package.

I have all LED lights on my boat trailer. You will have no issue. Just make sure they are decently potted and sealed or they will fail after they get wet.

Led lights are no problem. I have them on my aluminum utility trailer. They are so much nicer, and smaller. You don't have the big housing hanging off the side to bang into things. My tail lights are built into the frame, so they are totally protected.

Are you talking about replacing the complete light assembly or just buying those LED bulbs that fit in the same socket as old lamp? You wouldn't have a problem with the complete replacement LED cause I ve changed all 3 of my trailers to them and pull them from a range of a 2007 -2015 trucks. Not sure about just the lamp change only style never tried them, I liked replacing the whole assembly to make sure there sealed from factory.

LEDs or filament - there is no difference. Your wiring won't know the difference. Some LED replacements do generate more heat.
