Would a 295/65r20 feel more comfortable than a 35/12.5r2 tire

(Both tires being toyo open country rt)

The 295 is 11.6" wide but still 35" tall

I currently have 325/60r20 and the ride is harsh

I just want a more comfortable ride and want to know if i should go a bit more narrow

city driving only - no offroading

What kind of lift and struts do you have? I have a BDS 6In lift with the Fox coilovers(lowered the coilovers 1.5") and rear BDS leaf springs with Toyo RT 35x12.5 on stock 20x9 wheels and mine rides great. I keep them at 35psi. When My lift was installed I originally I went with Mickey Thompson ATZ which were the absolute hardest roughest riding tire I have ever had. I switched to Toyo after 7000 miles. Toyo or BFG were my first 2 choices but the RT and KO2 were backordered when my lift went on. The Toyo RT is the best tire I have ever had. They look awesome and grip excellent off road and in snow. They are also dead quiet considering how aggressive they are. A friend has the MT and his are much louder than mine. Another friend who recommended the RT has 40k miles on his with half the tread left. I was amazed at how much the tire can affect the ride quality. Both are E rated and same size but the ride of the MT was like a solid rubber tire there was absolutley no give.

I would like nothing better to just drive GMs. My wife in a Cadillac me in a Chevy minivan and Colorado. Part of my day is comprised of reading and watching comparisons of automobile. I could buy a car today. I’m back to research the next.
