Can someone help me diagnose this noise

Im new to the chevy world and new to the ecotec motors. Can someone tell me what this ticking noise is? A buddy of mine said its just the noise an ecotec makes.

Sounds like I hear your purge solenoid valve and the high pressure fuel pump ticking. Both of which are normal.

No it's just the operating noise of them. If it's abnormally loud and it's the only hint you hear when the hood is closed, then maybe it might be abnormally loud.

I had the same problem this is what my dealer found and it was fixed.

Where you able to hear that noise while in the vehicle? Like a flutter that increased with more gas?
