Best Way To Fix Rust That Is Starting?

Hey. So I have a 2006 Silverado 2500 hd. And there is rust that is starting on the very bottom of the doors and rocker panels due to gravel and normal driving. I was thinking of color matching the truck also. So looking to see what other people of done. To Fix it or cover it up

covering it up will only be temporary as the rust will spread. Need to fix it right.

Spray with bedliner material?

You need to put patch panels at the belt line{center of door} to be sure you have all the rust cut out. Rust never sleeps so you must attack it hard if your going to keep the truck. If your going to trade or sell the truck then just replace what you need and its good for a year or so then back it comes! Use rust inhibitor to stop it and look into this stuff to help out.

In all seriousness though, like another mentioned: cutting and replacing with patch panels for the rockers. If the doors aren't too bad, they can be wire wheeled or sandblasted, and repainted (I'm assuming it's the inside of the doors where you're seeing the rust, where the shell wraps around the inner structure.)
