2015 2500HD Silverado with non power folding mirrors that have LED lights in them

So what activates the rearward cargo LED's in the mirrors?  I was under the impression that the cargo switch, when activated in park or neutral (reverse if you use a jumper), is what activates those mirror rearward LED's.  For me right now, the cargo switch ONLY activates the bed lights and the cargo light on the rear top of the truck.  Absolutely no switch with the transmission in any setting will activate the rearward cargo LED's.  They will not turn on under any circumstance.

The Cargo Lamp LEDs are tied to the cargo lamps and bed lights, activated by the same switch.

There is a missing link/circuit here. Not sure if it’s within the harness or from the door jamb, going into the cabin.

We can dig deeper.. if you are able to remove the door jamb connector and inspect the body side connector...

Looking to see if you have pins 9 and 11 present here.

Thanks.  When I get the truck back today (if they still haven't figured it out) after replacing my heated seat element I'll check this.  I have to imagine they are there since the park lamp works but I will confirm.

Dealership just confirmed there is a missing harness to each mirror and quoted $1,200 for them to be installed.  Does that sound right?

That’s why most come here looking for alternatives.

Let me know what Harness they are quoting you (part #s etc). I’ll fix ya up for at least 1/2 that ;). If you are able to confirm that door jamb connector... and maybe harness part#s of what you have installed now, I can help you fix this.

And if Door Harnesses are all you need, I Charge $225 for a PnP Set. But I need to know what’s at door jamb to give you an idea of cost and what all will be involved.

I just put 2 and 2 together....while watching your video three times on youtube. 

 

I'm 100% certain that the park lamp and turn signals work on my mirrors because someone made a comment of how nice the orange on the front mirrors looked at night the other night.  The attached image are the DPN mirrors that should be on my truck.  Evidently I have DQS mirrors somehow installed on my truck now with the missing harness to make the cargo lamp work.  The other image are what is actually installed on my truck.  I'll try and take the door jamb apart tomorrow and get some photos for you.  Hopefully all i need is the $225 PnP harness to do this.  

 

This begs the question....why would someone swap the mirrors and not do the harness? Makes no sense to me.

You have an early build truck.  You need the RZY jumper harness for any of the lights to work in the mirrors if it has the ones with all the lights installed.  You also will most likely need new door harnesses as well. 

 

There are two different DPN mirrors.  There is DPN prior to August 14th 2014, and DPN post that date.  DPN prior is the top mirror you posted, DPN after that date is the bottom mirror you posted.  DQS is the new DPN with power fold and chrome caps.  If you have black caps and the lights they are DPN, if you have chrome caps and the lights, you may have the accessory kit DPN with chrome caps, or the DQS power folds.

There has to be some kind of harness is the truck right now because the turn signals and parking lights work.  Unlock the doors, amber lights flash on the mirrors.  Use the left turn signal, and the turn signal on the mirror works.  The only thing that does not work is the rearward LED cargo light.

So my truck came with DPN and I have DPN mirrors still, just two different DPN mirrors.  I'll confirm the door harness for Phil and fingers crossed all I need is his $225 PNP kit.

I have not come across a truck/member that had Turn Signals AND Park Lamp, but no cargo lamps.

I have seen turn signals, but no park and Cargo.

Ether way, we can get this sorted out.

You can see pins 9 and 11 are missing. This means that whoever had the truck previously, wired up the Amber park lamps, tapping them somewhere else inside/behind the door panel. This is common for early 2015 builds. Installing the RZY Jumper supplemental harness is the way pins 9, 11, and 41 (if 41 were missing) gets provisioned.

This is the part that doesn't make sense. When I unlock the doors the light comes on.  The amber light does not work in any other circumstance.
