'05 Sierra headlight issues

A few weeks ago I noticed one of my low beams out.   I went to check the bulb and while working with the light, it came on.    Now whenever it goes out, I just go give it a little tap and it turns back on.   Then a few days later it will go off again.   I am also noticing that the adjustment bolts aren't holding my lights in place like they used to.   The plastic that holds the end of the adjustment bolt is old and broken.   These are the original headlights (155,000 miles).    Do I need new headlights?  Help!!

If the plastic that is broken is on the headlight then yes I would say that would fix the issue of being loose. sounds like a loose connection/broken wire to the light bulb though.

The teminal on the connector is worn, burnt or the crimp is poor. Either way it is an easy fix. replace the connector.
