Exhaust pop at 60mph

Have my truck with an electric cut out in between cat and silencer. when I got on the highway one night I floored it, no traffic so why not. From a stop floored it onto the on ramp (cutout open) and when I hit 60 mph I hear a pop from exhaust. I've done it 2 more times now to see if it was a fluke or not and pop right at 60 mph. It's 5.3 6spd, anyone else with an electric cut out or an exhaust set up that this happened to?

If your backing off at 60 an open exhaust will pop. If it’s still accelerating at 60 my guess would be your truck is adjusting to the sudden change.

If it’s right at a shift point, it’s likely torq management backing fuel and spark.

Sounds like a back off pop from an open exhaust

Sorry to revive this, however I had the same issue with my corsa exhaust. When I go WOT from a stop, it'd make a noticeable pop... almost like a back pressure pop. I talked to corsa, I talked with my intake to see if it had caused me to run too rich/ lean. No real answers from either, however S&B was a little more helpful with advice that corsa. Then, I finally contacted Black Bear about a tune and my issue. They stated that there's a fuel cut off at full throttle shifting from 1-2, and 2-3. After the tune was completed, no more popping.
