Best 8" lift?

Recommended Posts

So it looks like my plans for the BDS 6.5 will not work. I'm looking to do 37/13.5/20'x10's. Everytyhing I'm seeing says I will need 8" lift to clear and look great and not have a 6.5 or 7.5 cranked up. I'm looking at the CST 8-10 for the HD's. It looks like real good quality, only problem is its a torsion drop lift. I like the cleaner look of a non torsion drop lift. Any ideas?

Here is the exact look I'm wanting. It is a rough country 7.5 cranked to 8.

Are you saying the company name is RAM (cause I'm not finding it) or are you telling me to buy a dodge ram?

Yeah I was being a jerk. Big lifts are less expensive and more functional on trucks with solid axles.

Regardless, you have to admit, that truck looks pretty cool.

I think rough country makes a 7”. My neighbor has a new f350 with a 7” lift and 37” tires. He regrets it. Truth told the new lifted ford truck looks dumb.

When I bought my truck the dealership had a HC with a 6” lift and 37” tires and it was all murdered out. Looked very athletic and drove pretty good. If these guys here didn’t warn me about horrible it would be to tow my TT. I would’ve bought it.

So this is my recommendation... it’s your truck and don’t let us ****-waffles dictate what you do to your truck because it’s an extent of your personality and taste. The video you posted in the initial post looks great.

I hear ya. I definitely don't want to regret it when its all said and done, but I feel if I don't go to 37/13.5/20's I will also regret it. I have a bds 6" lift with 35/12.5/20's right now on my 1500 and I do not want a lift with 35's on a 2500. It just wont have the look. I want function as well as the kick ass factor. I'm really torn. My denali just hit code 3000, so it could be here within 4 weeks. I need to decide and get everything ordered because I want to bring it straight to the shop and get it done right away while the wife is still on board.

Here's what I just sent to my shop for a quote yesterday. I think with the dsc shocks I could dial it in to ride really well.

CST 8-10” lift stage 2 (set at 8”) says also requires front drive shaft and shift linkage on 2015+ ?

Front and rear re-gear to 5.13’s

Fox 2.0 reservoir DSC fronts

Fox 2.0 reservoir DSC rears

Fox steering stabilizer

Amp steps

Programmer for gears and tires

Paint and install Duramax hood (I will supply brand new hood)

Install 2017 GMC grill (I will supply brand new grill)

37/13.50/20 Toyo open country M/T

20x10 Fuel maverick D610 -12 offset or (20x10 Hostile alpha blade cut -12 offset)

I have a 6" Fabtech and run 37x12.50x20 Toyo Open Country R/T's on a 20x9 (0 offset) Hostile Exile wheels. Love the way it rides however the turning radius sucks!!! I know it just the bigger tires but I didn't really think it would change it as much as it did. I don't regret it though.

Eviltwin69,

Your truck looks great! What shocks are you running? You say it rides better than stock?
