Modding my 2016 Silverado Z71

The tires on my 2016 Silverado were pretty worn, I had maybe 5 months left on them. So after a bit of hemming and hawing I decided to go ahead and have a Rough Country 3.5" lift installed along with new 33's and some matte black wheels. Also got a running rail/. side step installed also. I'm pretty stoked with it. Now on to the next mod...

So you got your first, second, third and forth mod all done on Friday. Looks good, just keep an eye on your balljoints with that lift kit, it's a bit rough on the suspension angles and can cause early wear.

Looks good bonefish, you should be stoked.  Are those the N-Fab Steps?

One of the specifications in picking out the lift kit was that it came with a diff drop so as to keep the angles as close to stock as possible. It also came with new control arms, ball joints, etc... I believe it is the same kit that the dealerships use to lift their trucks.

Nope, the steps are by Rough County...

Looks nice.

What did you do with the stock wheels?
I've got them in my workshop at the moment. The shop that installed all of that actually asked me if I wanted my wheels and tires, uh yes... Unless they were going to knock off $600 - $700 off the price.

Be careful because this is a slippery slope... When you do your first mod, you may get the itch and it's all downhill from there (or uphill, depending on how you look at it!) haha!

Truck looks nice.

I hope you did a good smokey burnout before the old tires came off, its kind of a rule!

Well I did a little more tweaking on the ride today. Replaced the front and rear bow-ties with black-out ones. (Had a body shop do the rear, i arrived too late in the day to do both) so I did the front myself. I think it turned out nice and on the Silver Ice Metallic finish it sort of pops. :D

Installed a K&N 71-3082 Cold Air Intake yesterday. Couldn't have been any easier to install. I'd read that this mod slightly changes the sound of your engine but wasn't expecting that. It's not a bad thing and for the most part it's still quiet just has a growl when you hard accelerate. So now that she's breathing better I've got to get her exhausting better. On to the next mod... b22820e909fff1440fb0cc7d7d037e69.jpg
