Center Cap Logo Color Change

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new member. I just upgraded to a a 2018 Sierra SLT 1500 in Dark Slate. I’m loving the truck and am making a couple subtle modifications. I  will be tinting the front windows, blacking out the front and rear logo’s (done) and hopefully changing the color of the logos on the center caps to black.

Thats why I’m here. I tried to order some black

vinyl overlays off EBay. They would

have worked great but they were too small. I can’t find anything in the correct size. Has anyone done this or have ideas on how to proceed?  Thanks!

I taped off my bow ties and spray painted them however I don't think I would have had the patience to tape off the GMC logos. It might be easier to use touch up paint that comes with the little brush  which is what I'm going to try on my steering wheel bow tie. Just thought of something, if your wife/girlfriend uses nail polish I bet she has the skills to do it without leaving any excess outside of the lines that would need to be wiped away. ?

I did mine with Plasti-dip 2 years ago used the flat black almost matches the steering wheel black and still looks good.
