rear camera and navigation head unit

Howdy all! I have a 2015 GMC Sierra All Terrain. I recently gave a co worker a ride to drop off his 2007 Chevy Silverado. He liked my back up camera display and also liked that it had navigation on it.

He is interested in seeing if a kit exists for his truck. It is an LT model, 2007, regular cab long bed.

I did some searching on Google and found kits that are either for navigation or for a back up camera but not both.

My friend said he is not interested in XM radio or blue tooth but it would be nice to have a plug in for a thumb drive to listen to music, but not a necessity.

Anybody do an install like this? Know of a place where I can look to get some ideas?

As far as factory goes, No it would be pretty difficult to install a 15 factory setup in a 07 pickup. Is it doable, Yes... But i can imagine the pain.

What I have in my farm truck is a inexpensive double din radio with backup camera. The reason I bought this one was because it came with night vision and since I am out late at night I thought the night vision would help. It works great especially for hooking up my trailers at night. That's really the only reason I bought it. I don't even listen to the radio in it.

It was a $200 unit and I had it installed in no time, with no problems. Just buy the dash kit and wiring adapter for it.

There are a lot of aftermarket setups, Crutchfield is usually my first stop.

I got my setup for my 2000 at Cartoys. It's a Kenwood. For nav, you have choices. You can do a full nav head unit, or you can do one that has Android auto/car play and use the nav from the phone. This is the less expensive way to go. Pretty much all you options will include Bluetooth, USB etc. It still won't be cheap, probably at least $1500 by the time you buy all the components needed and get it installed. I do strongly recommend getting it installed rather than trying it yourself. The new stuff is much more involved than the older aftermarket radios.
