Help me decide tire size

Long time lurker first time poster...

 

I bought a 2018 CCZ71 around the new year and I'm ready to put some new shoes on her. Always been a BFG A/T guy. With a 2" RC level kit, should I buy:

 

275/60/20

275/65/20 (any experience with rub?)

I ran that size before the drop (275/65/20). I had to fiddle with fender liners a little, nothing major.

I am about to level and buy new tires.  I’d like to upside just a bit, for appearance only and have little interest in losing mpg or screwing my speedo up so much I have to pull my calculator out to figure my speed.

If you go up in size you will lose mpg and your speedo will be off, no way around that. How big determines how much. To lessen the mpg loss stay away from LT tires and anything that is more aggressive. You start going with aggressive AT tires like the BFG or worse (ie hybrid or mud tires) and compound that with heavy E-rated tires that are larger you will take a nice hit in mpg.

 

As far as the OP's question, try searching, tons of threads asking the same exact questions with many answers and responses...

Here is 275/60R20 on a stock suspension truck... I did notice the weight vs the P rated 18" wheels and tires but nothing I regret. 275/65 would look good with a level in my opinion, the 275/60 might be a little short.

With 275/60's your speedo will be of a couple of mph at 60.  With 275/65's speedo will be of 4mph at 60.  As others have stated the 275/65 will more likely be an LT E Rated tire and the extra weight will sap your mileage.
