Is this a good or a bad thing for GM to have the guy that designed the H2 to be heading up design for the entire company? Hmmmmmm.....

 

Maybe if there's a new rear-drive muscle car to replace the Camaro/Firebird it would be a good thing.

Its called the GTO. From what I have heard, the camaro/firebird reintroduction is way down the road, something like 2007 or 08

A little bird told me it'll be in 2005, same time as the introduction of the C6 Corvette.....with a 5.7L 425hp V8 as base, Z06 @ +500hp.

 

Course I could be wrong, but there's always hope.

Sounds like it'll eat Mustangs for breakfast. Imagine the droppings shaped like a Focus coming out of the tailpipe - hehehehe

 

Hopefully the engineers and designers can slip it by the accountants and attorneys.

The new GTO is gonna be sweet it has a bit of a ricer look to it though

A subdued ricer look is OK as long as the GTO will have the muscle under the hood to back it up. A ricer with no muscle is I'm kind of partial to the "street sleeper" look myself. Like right now I'm thinking about how to make my '95 Old 88 LSS faster without changing its family car appearance. It has the same chassis and powertrain as a Bonneville SE of the same vintage so it should be able to be made pretty quick.
