In my 16. I have the 342 gear.  I want to go to a 373 or 410.  If I do swap them will I have to get my tuner to adjust anything becsuse of it or no. I can swap them and be on my way

What size tires do you have; why the change of gears?

I need lower gears when I do my circle d converter.  Not need.  But more of a want. These 342 are meh

Yeah that’s what I have in mine now, once I throw 35s on I’m also swapping to 4.56 and doing Yukon’s diff rebuilds.

Going with Yukon for the gears?

Yes, you'll need to re-program/tune after a gear ratio change. And, if you're going through the process, changing from 3.42 to 3.73 won't be enough change to justify the cost. I'd go with at least a 4.10, if you're committed to a gear swap. Might as well get your moneys worth, haha.

Not quite sure yet. As I'm not sure of to many that are out yet.  I know Yukon makes them but not sure if anyone else does yet

There are quite a few brands out there for the 2014-2018 truck.  As I have done my research, I've learned that basically all of the brands are using the same gears (made in South Korea) with very minor differences after they are manufactured.  Along with Yukon, I have looked at G2, Nitro and AAM.  It's hard to find definitive differences from one gear to the next.  There are tons of folks talking about how great their own setup is but a lot of them haven't put a ton of miles on those gears, either.

I plan to swap out my own gears relatively soon.  I continue to read what I can about the different gears but, for now, plan to install AAM 4.10 gears in the front and back to replace my stock 3.42s.

I did see Aam now that you mentioned it.   I'm going to look into those

Heard Yukon and g2 are the way to go, but as previously mentioned; all very similar.

I have heard the same.  I am leaning toward AAM only because they are "OEM" gears and said to be the quietest of the bunch, which like.  The down side to them are the available ratios - AAM doesn't make anything that I'm aware of beyond 4.10 for GM trucks.

For the folks that want to go to 4.56 or 4.88, for example, AAM is out.  For those ratios, G2 and Yukon seem to be the overwhelming favorites.

You bet! I’m with Yukon as I want the 4.56 on my truck build I’m doing. From what I’ve read around the web and spoke to some friends about; Yukon is a safe bet no matter what your after!

Looking at final rpm I may just go a 373.    And aam looks good.  I'm most likely going with them

went from 3.08's to Yukon 4.10's and a custom tune...bye bye v4 mode...  money well spent.

Man, I bet that's like driving a whole new truck! I wanted 4.10's and no V4 mode, so I just bought a 2500HD, haha. I'm sure yours rides smoother and gets better MPG though.
