Powder coating here I come!

The painted black bumper on my 2015 1500 Denali only has 31k miles, but the winters have chipped it up enough that, even with touch-ups, I wanted to see about getting it refinished. I wanted to get powder coating because they say it is much tougher.

I googled and got the website of a local powder coater, that does everything including industrial and automotive.

They just responded:  $175.00 that’s blasted primed and painted
I just have to search for how to remove the bumper to drop it off.

Good luck. I was quoted 200.  Decided it wasn't worth my time to get the bumpers off myself when I looked into removal. I know you can look up DIY headlight mods, and that will get you part of the way there.  Part of the fender flares need popped off>upper fascia below the grille removed> grille removed>lights removed too (I think). After that, I believe you can start unbolting the bumper.  Of course you'll need to get parking sensors out and whatever else may be in the way by then haha.

A couple months back I was quoted $80 per bumper. Makes me second guess the price for sure now.

Taking bumper off is stupid easy.

There’s like 10-12 bolts to remove.

Search YouTube; guy has video up on how to do it.

Thanks, I did look it up and it is not too tough, so I am definitely going to pull it and then drop it off.

rear bumper is a hastle to take off. You need the right tools and possibly some help. You have to unbolt the bed and lift it a couple inches to clear the brackets. I had to do it with my 2014 when I color matched. turned into a 2 day job haha
