Stripped screw on door trim panel

Recommended Posts

Wonder if anyone has had this problem? I recently bought an old 74 GMC C-1500.
When I tried to remove the door trim panel to switch out a new lock cylinder, to my horror, those screws at the arm rest are completely stripped.
I tried to use a screw extractor but that cushion of the arm rest was in the way and shitty me, I ended up stripping it even more  ....

Anyone know of a funky way to get that damn screw out ??? Much appreciated!

NVM. Had to break off the head of the screw to get the trim panel off --- only to find out Autozone gave me the wrong part for the lock cylinder LOL..
Thanks for the help man.
