MyLink and Apple car play not working properly

Thought I would put this in here for anyone else having the same issues we are having.

Our 2016 Suburban's Mylink has been acting up pretty much since the day we got it.  For starters the screen goes to the home screen every time you get in and start it up so you have to hit the app to bring up the screen of what ever it is you are listening to.  This for us is a major pain.  Also Apple Car Play works and then it doesn't work.  To the point that it doesn't work for the most part anymore.

Also if you use the steering wheel controls to change the channel, it will do it but then out of nowhere it will go right back to the very beginning of where your started in the first place. Very annoying.

We have taken it in to the dealership several times. They keep telling me that it is an issue with one of the human interface modules and a programing issue and there isn't anything they can do. GM will not let them do a "swappatronics" per say to fine out what module isn't working. Also that they are aware and working on a fix for programing.

OK all fine but this has been over a year now and how long does it take to work out a programing issue.  Come on GM, there are vehicles on the road working perfectly fine.  Just do the right thing and fix ours!

So after sending a letter to GM corp explaining how dissatisfied we are they came back and basically gave us an extended warranty on the Mylink system up to 75k miles and 5 more years.  I just hope it doesn't take that long to get this thing fixed.  We are already at 31k miles.
