Driver info center

The "dic" screen on the gauge cluster at first started flickering then all of a sudden it started going into what it seems a test mode. It goes from red, green, blue then a checkered flag looking thing on a rotation. i disconnected the battery, drove for a while and nothing has changed. Has anybody else had this happen and is there a possible reset without having to make a trip to the dealership?

Dealership also never seen this before and has no idea how to fix it since the re-program did not work either.

So they just left you hanging? Tell them to open a TAC case with GM.

Wouldn't they put in a new gauge cluster.

the warranty of coarse ended in march for the bumper to bumper so i didnt want to get completely abused. I needed the truck back to get to work after them playing around with it for 2 days. i just went and picked it up when they wanted to start charging ridicules amounts of money to continue diagnosing. I was told by another mechanic to disconnect both battery wires from the battery and put them together and leave the cables off for an hour or so and that will prob fix it since it will completely reset the computer but i am not too sure about that one.

Still nothing has changed tried leaving the battery off for a while and it did nothing.... trucks running great so I find it hard to pay hundreds of dollars but the screen acting up is really annoying... I Cant be the only person To ever have this issue.. does anybody have a suggestion for a honest dealer in the Pittsburgh pa area?

i would check the connections on your hmi behind the clove box it is the video driver for the display

I thought that module just controlled the radio display I was not aware it controlled the driver info center as well

Disconnected then reconnected the HMI module as well... still nothing... I’m starting to think the “DIC” needs re-programmed or somthing... the radio screen works perfectly so I’m at a complete loss
