DiabloSport Programmer

First, I need to thank my wife for getting the Diablo Sport Programmer for my 30th Birthday and for actually listening to me!!!!

I know everyone else is getting the Westers which sound very cool,

BUT

The Diablo sport did exactly what I wanted it to do. My 6.0L 1500HD crewcab is alive!!!!!!!!! It was definitely worth the money so far. I now not only have a reprogrammer but a diagnostic tool too!!!!!! It was very easy to use total process took me about 15 min. That is the time it took to store my stock program and install the Predator program. So far I have not personally changed any of the settings just using the program as it came in the box. All I can say is WOW!!! I did fill up with high octane prior to using the program as it recommended. As for the post that said the Diablo Sport would not take out torque management you are correct according to the manual torque management is left alone UNLESS you change the tire size to a size that is not offered from the manufacturer. Meaning when I put on my 285's the torque management is gone!!! I would recommend the Diablo Sport to everyone!!!!!!! :wtf:

Near future mods will be including an fpik k&n air filter and flowmaster muffler

The Preditor is a great unit, you can even get custom programming mods from the company if you do any wild modding to your engine. ;)

I got my Predator on Friday, this thing is so coool! Nice power increase, fine tuning shift points, shift firmness and shift quickness. I drove around a little yesterday using the live data mode and could see the fuel trims, knock retard (you can adjust both with the Predator) air temp passing through the maf. Very nice tool, just follow the directions carefully when loading a program. So far, no problems with mine.

Did you know you could get custom tunes from Diablosport here is how I got my new custom tune by Johan Mangs. If you have a Predator programmer give this a try you maybe surprised with the performance boost of your truck. BTW I called and spoke with Johan and he told me that the changes he makes are things you and I can't do ourselves with the predator.

I e-mailed Johan Mangs from Diablosport R&D ([email protected]) He e-mailed me a program and all the info I needed to connect my Predator to the computer. I e-mailed him my current tune and he modified it and e-mailed it back. It took about a day and a half. WOW the new program is so much better!!! You just tell him what you have K&N or whatever and what octane your using and what your spark knock sensor is reading (gives him info for timing and such) And he does the rest!!! AND IT'S FREE NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!!!

If you already have the Diablo Sport give this a try you have nothing to loose make sure you tell Johan exactly what you’re looking to gain I.E. power or MPG.

Good Luck,

Do you need to run premium fuel all the time ?

Yes. But when I first got mine I was fine with 89 and I think I could have gottin away with 87 just needed to watch the knock sensor for awhile to make sure I was good to go! If you get a custom tune from Diablo you could easily swap programs in a matter of minutes. Meaning you could go from stock to stock Diablo tune to custom diablo tune in no time at all!!!

Good Luck,

Just an info note or idea. When ever we order something like this from a vender what do you guys think about mentioning this forum to them? Maybe they might give a little extra off. What do you think. I know that some places already do. Hopefully when we get a group discount that may be later on down the road as new individuals join the forum they too can benefit from a group discount again like everyone before has in the past. A great benefit to all. :chevy:

Sound like a winner?

So this would be a good choice for my 03 Denali XL (6.0L)? I have 285/50 R20 tires on the truck so I am assuming that this is not a stock tire size and that I would loose the torque management??? :chevy:

Yes according to the Diablosport manual. The custom tune that Diablosport sent me listed my stock tires as 17" instead of the 16". Although the overall tire diameter is still listed the same, so my speedometer is still correct.
