Lets talk Dash Cams. Who has one?

Finally got around to taking pictures of my install.

 

Running the wire to the rear camera was easier than expected as I could simply slide the wiring right under the head liner.  I did have to use some weather striping (on the windshield) to keep the wire from popping back out.  When I had just the radar detector it was fine staying in by itself but now with three wires up there it was becoming difficult.

 

I found that Auto Zone had the micro2 add-a-circuit (in stock~I bought three just to have handy in the future) needed to tap into the fuse panel.  I used slot 9 for my constant power source.  I grounded to the same stud I used for my radar detector.

 

I like the add-a-circuits because its not truly permanent.  I can always swap out if I need to.

 

If you want to wire up permanent and cleanly, I suggest you find @pgamboa youtube video on how to do that.  I stumbled across it on youtube and he did a great job on that.

Yeah, unfortunately, I didn't have a camera, but even if I did, there was not license plate to be gotten, still had dealership paper in the bracket. 

 

BUT, I am looking at putting a dual camera system in each of our vehicles.
