I can get this one for $64,614.  $11,469.50 off MSRP or 15% off of sticker.  Of the options that the dealer installed the ones I was going to purchase regardless are the bed cover and liners.     Paying full price for those would set me back about $1,100.  I could get the same truck minus all the dealer options for $62,500.  Add to that my cover and liners and I am at $63,500.    Of the remaining installed dealer options the only ones that interest me are the 3M Door Edge Guards, Handle Cups, and Nitrogen for life and the camera system.  That's $2522 in options for $1100.   I am not familiar with the camera system.   It seems to get mixed reviews but the idea of it seems really cool.

I guess my question is which would you choose?

1.  Loaded truck for $64,614

2.  This truck with just cover and liners for $63,500

Thanks for your input!

The camera system adds cameras to the underside of the mirrors and depending on which package you get - a camera for the back of your trailer and/or a camera in the upper brake light on the cab. The camera in the brake light is only good for checking things in the bed and for hitching a gooseneck or 5th wheel camera. The camera you mount on the back of the trailer is good for acting like a rear view mirror when going down the road and when backing your trailer. All of this is a mote point if you are not planning on towing with this bad boy. Nitrogen for life - probably only good at the dealer - if you have a flat or other tire trouble on the road - forget it. Not sure what handle cups are. Dealers usually add equipment so they can jack up the price. The camera system is hard to uninstall the other stuff maybe less.

I would only go for the loaded truck if you intend to trailer.

Yes I will definitely be pulling a trailer.  Not heavy but probably a 24' snowmobile trailer.     The cups and edge protector are only clear 3M stick ons.   I dont need the nitrogen for life as the dealer is 250 miles from where the truck is going to be kept.    $699 seems like a lot for stickers.     I will try to get that taken off.

Yes I think the camera in the center brake light will allow you to watch your snowmobiles while going down the road  - and it might help with backing.

Good luck with your dealing.

Dealer options complicate the deal. I would look at it this way.

$71,690 MSRP before dealer options

$71,690.00 - 20% = $57,352.00 sell price + what you calculate the dealer add ons are really worth.

Might be more towards the end of the year to get the big discount 19's are just showing up on lots

Got mine for a steal on the last day of November. Don’t know what quarter that was the end of, but they flat out told me they needed 2 more sales to get their factories incentives, 54K truck for 42 grand plus change. I thought that was cool.

Camera system will also let you put a camera INSIDE the TRAILER.  IMO, that's a great feature for those that might be concerned whether items tied down inside are staying in place.

Nitrogen for street use is a gimmick.

I'm not a fan of the 20's, and have the 18's (same as on 3500 Denali) on mine.  Since tire OD is the same, the 18's have more sidewall.  Bonus is they are  cheaper ($800, iirc).  Bonus 2 is that with fewer surfaces/bigger openings, the  6 spoke is easier to clean than the 10 spoke.

15% off seems like at good number, but it can't hurt to push a little harder.

If you're trading, the amount they are offering on the trade is also a factor.

I would shoot for 20% off. I got it when I bought my 2016 hd and I know others have to. It’s true that better deals will pop up as we get toward the end of the year.
