Got some track time at a work function last night and finally got a decent time for this truck. 17 GMC 6.2 CC SB, only mod is muffler delete. Managed to get a 15.10@92mph. Turned off stabilitrak and traction control but still had some throttle interference on the launch. 4wd helped the traction issue, but once they get going it pulls hard on the top end...... For a pickup truck! It's all just for fun, but it is almost as fast as some cars I've owned!

2200 ft here, was probably 85ish. Was pretty hot in the evening. You could feel the torque management off the line contributing to the soggy throttle. There was a 5.3 truck that couldn't break 16.0.

What's the altitude?  Do you have the DA from then??

That explains it.  Come down off the mountain and that truck would probably loose a second.

For sure, was still a fun night. Now to fight the temptation to play with it more.

You know, it wouldn't take much to get that in the 14's up there.....lol.   That and some cooler weather.

Another cool night and it's in 14's for sure. Maybe I'll bite the bullet with a minor tune and a few other not so intrusive mods. As much as I want to leave it alone, I can't leave all that power trapped in there!

I'm debating on the muffler delete.  How do you like it?  I have anMIT intake tube with a modified stock intake box and green filter.  That can get loud on spirited acceleration.

I like the muffler delete. Had them leave the flapper valve in as well as the tailpipe resonator and it's just as quiet on the highway as stock, but you hear it nice in town. If you turned off the radio and AC you can hear it on the highway in V4, but who does that!
