Hello,  4200 miles on my 2018 GMC 6.0 4 door extended cab 8 foot bed 4 X 4. Nice Machine.  Dropped off for initial service. was driving home on interstate got up to 67 mph and felt a vibration in my seat and side view mirrors..... had a slight vibration. Enough to say I didnt spend this big chunk of cash for my '18 to ride like my '04.  Kind of "do not recall" this issue before service. Dropped off ck'd tire balance, got back, same. Dropped off and dealer put the vibration sensing gadget on. Road test/ect device said back two tires. tires arrived a few days later. mounted. update still a problem. ordered another tire. waiting for news. Point Blank, This Aint Good.  "Bubba" OIF1 US Army

well josh my experience has only just begun. arrived back from OIF1 and bought a brand new '04 2500 hd. 220,000 or so miles back in it due to the '18 in sick bay.  in case you were wondering airsta brooklyn donated 29 to intrepid air sea space museum wayyyy back. as a ch54b crane fe brought it from point a to point b with out dropping it. as soon as i lowered it to the deck with thousands watching released hook, 52 brake handle released rolled away and smashed into the carrier netting and almost went over the side. cw4 vietnam radial engine fixed wing driver asked how everything went back there and said great. until 2 weeks later the video tape arrived at my hangar. ps........  cg planes didnt have jato back in 80. wow.

Sounds like a tire rotation  threw something off  , I did a tire rotation on a 2012 Silverado  and it shook so bad the change in my cup holder was bouncing around !

I put the tires back and it was ok ,it was out of warranty so  i bought used rims and mounted new tires and all was ok !    if it would have been new ,I would be pissed too ,

So far no problems with '17 LTZ only 4000 mi and '14 sierra work truck  just turned 100,500 mi  , all supervisors where I work have within 3yr old SLT z71s (at least 25 of them ) a couple f250 s and 3 or 4  f150s , I never heard the chevy shake from any of the GMC Trucks  , definitly  at least 4 bad ac condensers, and a radiator go on some, one of the owners did a hand me down of his f-250 2 yrs ago , and bought a danali hd duramax  ,says it is  more comfortable  to drive , I think he would switch the fleet out if the GM weren't dependable  trucks !.... ,   we don't have enough  ford f series trucks  to compare ,but no problems with the ones we have Either

But I cringe anytime I take something to the dealer it usually comes out with other problems ,

This type of issue has been discussed numerous times on the forums

Man I am a member of lots of forums I have been asking questions since telnet days ,in the '80s I always search for answers first because,,, god forbid if you ask a question that was somehow related to someone else post ,

But most the time I swear I would get ten post telling me to use search , man I don't get it why you would waste time to read and take time to type such a useless post that does not help anyone , I really hate posting  what I think are original questions that I think Haven't  been asked    because of this , Should be a sticky That states "all questions been asked use search  "Post only if you what answers that have nothing to do with your problems,

There is a sticky on this forum that ask you to do a search first especially if it is a commonly asked question and the way you would know this is if you do a search first. LOL

as of today, two rear mich lins new, same deal. left front new today, vibration test in shop and otr tomorrow. well some know ya have to be over 6 foot tall before signing up in the coast guard.  fact. kind of glad my $55,000 GMC is in the shop. More time to walk, ride my mountain bike and drive dealer loaners. the  buick loaner is brand new and some stickers still on windows. only problem it was 98 degrees out today and had to keep 4 windows rolled down because the air vents smell like antifreeze. remember late 60's ? a man walked on the moon. its 2018 and i still wont by a ford or dodge.

well today is thursday. got a call trucks ready. ive heard this twice so far. two new rear tires. nope knot the problem. one front nope not the problem. exactly 67 mph when vibration happens even a bit in the steering wheel. dealer said well the pico test says its in limits per general motors. read that same story somewhere. well guess watt im not taking home. well its gonna be four or so weeks till a gmc engineer will be here to diagnose vibration problem. take it home drive it we will call when to drop off. sorry charlie aint happening. so..... asked the chief mech in charge to test drive and me be passenger.  vibrated at 67 mph just like original from way back. 67 mph is my most popular number for driving 100s of thoudsands of miles for 40 years or so. well its back in the shop. and i have a loaner car. the size of oversize vw. this whole deal aint looking good.  4200 miles on the '18 gmc maybe its time for a '19. well guess watt. Dealer  removed two of the four suspect problem wheels and removed two on a brand new truck out on the lot and installed on my 2500HD. test drove. good to go. but the whole deal kinda sucked. all set till next oil change. Knock on wood. however the two original factory rims bent while rotating I will never know. point blank............. do not trust that GM vibration sensor which is added for a test drive. nobody is really trained on and what results are good. supposedly one of the test drive stats fell in range even though me driving it fell like a HC130B Max effort take off on a jungle dirt runway.
