Air damper? Useful?

Does the air damper actually do anything helpful? I know what it's supposed to do, but does it really help?

simply put yes, especially in a stock vehicle configuration. The Chevy engineer  Tom Peters worked on both Corvette and Truck, in fact your air dam is an cloned from the corvette, and scaled to fit truck.

Thank you.  I know some manufctures it's all looks.  This was very helpful.
