Adding a CD player?

hello everyone.  i was wondering, if it is possible, to add the factory cd player, to a 2018 silverado "custom", with the 7" display?  my steering wheel does not have the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.

When I went from CD Player to adding DVD/BluRay, I needed to add a significant amount of wiring AND needing to get the DVD player itself programmed to my VIN.

So while I think it’s possible, I think the cost and effort needed may sway you away from doing it.

Greg, mvi does alot of conversions from different radio upgrades.i did the dvd upgrade from them but it wasn't cheap and I already had the 8 inch screen.

i have seen a usb cd player advertised, that is supposed to work in the silverado, so i was wondering also, if this would work, as an option.

You'd be money ahead to rip your CDs to your computer and then put those on an USB stick... Assuming you have a computer lol... I have a CD player in my 2016 and I don't think I've ever used it...
