Hi Jim

I just fixed my rocker panels on my 2000 Tahoe 4 door with some Redneck Randy plastic rocker panels. I'm not sure if these will work on a 96 or not. Check them out on Ebay. I cut out as much of the rust and treated the rest of metal with rust converter and then truck bed liner before installing them. If you can remove the doors it makes it much easier to install them.
