Morimoto fogs

Just installed these in place of the stockers expecting a huge improvement based on all the good reviews on them. I think they suck. Same position as stockers, and half the light, no good pattern what so ever. What exactly do people see in these?

$200 down the drain, hate it when mods don't go as planned, entirely disappointed. Wouldn't recommend for anything.

I've got mine on a 2015.5 Sierra 2500hd. the pattern is literally so good that I can drive without my low beam headlights if I choose. Are yours the round or rectangular ones?

The round one's.

I must have them mounted and aimed wrong. They're mounted in my aftermarket bumper, and I think the light is hitting the metal in the bumper before it gets to light up anything. There are so many good reviews, like yours, that point to a problem with my mounting, I guess. They are literally mounted exactly like the stockers in the bumper, and there's no comparison, the stockers are brighter, and cover more, way more ground. But like everyone says, they are supposed to be better....Talking with the vendor that I purchased these from, they're saying the same thing, never a complaint, always good performance. The vendor is being SUPER helpful, so I'm sure something will happen. I'm going to have to fab up some brackets to move the lights close to flush with the front of the bumper.

So far, $200 bucks down the drain. I'm truly unsatisfied.

Mine work great but remember there fog lights and these dont blind everybody on the road. It did take some getting used to because the light pattern is not that high but that’s  headlights are for. I did adjust them all the way “up”.

Pretty sure it's my bumper, I can't make the lights flush with the bumper, as the hole the lights go into are deep recesses, keeping the light inside the bumper. The vendor is being super helpful, but I think I chose a product that isn't going to work with an existing aftermarket product on my truck.  The giant bumper shields the lights to much. All my fault, not the Morimoto lights. Sorry about the crappy photos.

I think the bumper is the issue as LED light is more directional and the lens being curved directs the light out and to the sides. Being that deep the side pattern would be blocked. Incandescents scatter light everywhere so they will appear brighter. I like mine and feel they provide more light to the side and of course match the output of the HIDs in color.

On the way to getting some brackets fabed up. I have the stock bezel cut up to hold the light, I’m going to cut it apart more, move it all the way forward as I can. I’ll post some pics, I’m anxious to get them aimed right, I’ve bent things around and these are not even close to being right. I can see the pattern now, at least. It’s exactly what it should be, wide, low, and flat, I can see why everyone likes these, I’m no where near aimed right.

I am interested to see how they turn out, I have been waiting to pull the trigger on these. I'd make an offer on them if they don't work out or you still hate them lol.

HaHA, no, it was all me and my giant bumper.

These are great lights, almost have them right, not quite there yet. Trimmed all I could on my existing mounting set up I had, and it's working fairly well now. There's a great cut off and the pattern is wide. If you're mounting them in the stock location, and you are unsure about the lights them self's, there should be no problems what so ever. They are bright, and the pattern is good, in the stock and intended location, they should bolt up in minutes and be just about perfect.

I installed these fog lights on my 2017 All Terrain and LOVE them. All stock bumper though. Just ordered a set for my 2018 Wrngler too. Great fog lights.

JMO.
