Sour_Squirrel Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 AI have a 2018 Silverado 2500 HD diesel that has a problem with the passenger parking lamps (the amber lights outboard of the headlight). It doesn’t light up when the headlights are turned on but will flash when I unlock/lock using the remote key fob. What can be causing this? It’s not the bulbs since they flash when locked/unlocked.
8lugCT Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Have you checked the wire harness? Doesn't make much sense, but it's the first thing I'd look at. Make sure it's all connected snugly Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Sour_Squirrel Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 I figure the harness is intact since the parking lights flash when the truck locks using the remote.
8lugCT Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Maybe something with the BCM. See if theres a way to reset. Maybe pull battery connections
Sour_Squirrel Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 I was thinking it may be a BCM glitch. I’m taking it back to the dealer since it’s under warranty.
Sour_Squirrel Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 Turned out to be a loose wire in a connector at the parking lamp. Repair was covered under warranty.
