Hole in transmission???

just bought this 2014 silverado 1500 4.3l v6 4x4 last night, from a local dealership. Decided to look underneath today an realized a hole on my transmission, where i clearly see flywheel.

Obviously i would instantly think it needs a plug, for elements to not make way in.

Also is the rear bumper seriously all plastic? Come from an 04, with steel bumper i found it very odd as if they replaced original with cheap plastic replica bumper. Because wiring for trailer plug is not attatched. It’s taped up hidden away.

Me being so busy with work, an very little time i went an overlooked it, test drove it, totally forgot to even look underneath probably because i figured it’s so new there wouldn’t be any issues or leaks. Stupid mistake on my part i know.

Is this normal or does it require a plug? Thank you!

Looks like “original bumper” was there, by how the paint on frame is worn down. Now this one sits in a different spot.

Is there a hitch on it? Looks like it might have had one before. They bolt in that same spot as the bumper. As for the bumper, is plastic covers over the steel structure underneath. It's nothing big and heavy like you were used to.

And there is a snap on cover for the flexplate access hole.

Yes there is a cover for the flywheel access hole.  No problem there.

How many miles are on the truck?

Sure is wet with oil.  I have 184k on my 2002 and it is nice and dry.

Yea i just ordered the little cover to pop in there, like 5 bucks.

Its got 103K miles. High i know for only 4 years old but for the most part it’s clean. All the oil is from a bad oil pan gasket, definitely fixing that. Tried pressure washing real quick underneath, definitely gonna be a weekend project. Soooo much build up. But im doing everything so i know it’s done right an finally done.

The ink hasn't even dried on the purchase agreement.  If I found these items on a truck I purchased last night,  I'd be at the dealership this morning!  The two items you discovered speak very poorly to how the whole truck was treated.
