Anybody in the North West heard of these guys?  There was a quick clip of them on the national news a few weeks back.  They were supposedly the subject of the highest bidding war over an previously unsigned band.

 

I just wondered what they sounded like.  The teacher who's class I taught in some this semester has a son that's an entertainment lawyer in Seattle and he was the guy who got them their contract with which ever company it was they signed with.

 

Anybody know what they're like?  The news release compared them to The Who and The Replacements, but the 10 or 15 second clip I saw didn't do much to support those comparisons.

Have you tried looking for their music on Morpheus, grokster, kazaa, or winmx.  Just a thought.  Usually when I hear of a new band I search for their music and download some just to see if it is something I would listen too.

I was actually gonna do that tonight.  I never remeber to do it, and today I thought of it again.  I can't connect to WinMX until after 5p.m., because our network firewalls those things during the day so we're not overloaded.     I'm gonna try tonight, I was just wondering if anybody had maybe heard or seen them out that way somewhere.
