Upgrades for a smoother ride?

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. Cheapest/quickest fix is getting rid of your 10 ply KO's and going with a 4 or 6 ply tires (P rated) on a 16-18" rim. Next option, but causing you to spend more, is to get new a new suspension. Keeping stock angles is best to keep it the smoothest, but you can do a mild lift and still have a good ride. Here's a write-up I did on my new wheels (went from 22" to 18") and suspension (2" front lift and 1" rear lift). Even though I went with a 10 ply all-terrain tire, it's still a better ride than my stock set up.

Good luck on your decision.

Very thorough review, well done [emoji1303] very much appreciate a well thought out personal review.

Safe travels

Add me to the list of people saying to install P265/70R17 or P265/65R18 tires.

You may want to keep your 20" wheels for when you sell your High Country, but if not, you could certainly arrange a trade, that would either cost no money out of pocket, or put money into your pocket.

18, 6.2 CC, SLT 4.5” CST lift, 20x9 Fuel, 285/60/20 May be going up very soon Nitto Ridge Grapplers. With level rode harsh, with 4.5” CST ride is much better than leveled and both with 5100’s. Next week installing CST coilovers up front and CST resi’s in rear.

The falken wildpeak AT3W comes in a 275/55/20 that is a P rated XL tire (6 Ply)

They also have a 275/60/20 that is a P rated SL (4 Ply)

Both would suit your needs wells and would retain the good look of an all terrain. Plus they are a very good tire for the money.

Yes they do. Falken wildpeak AT3W XL.

The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T G015 would be another great alternative.

You are just the person I’ve been looking for!!

So with those being xl I assume you have the 275/55/20.

Does your truck have a level? If not could I see a couple more pictures of your truck detailing how those tires look without a level?

I really want the 275/60/20 but I don’t want to level my truck. So if those won’t fit I’ll suffice for the 275/55/20 but I want to see how it looks first.

No level. I had 275 60r20 on the 15 with the Bilstein's on the top setting. I got a little fender liner rub in reverse at full lock. A zip tie helped that.

So your tires aren't actualy 275/55/20? I never saw an XL option for the 275/60/20

You don't consider bilsteins at their highest setting a level?? I'm leery of the bilsteins or any level as i don't want to affect the geometry of the front suspension. I'm more in favor of keeping the parts from wearing sooner as well as avoiding any negative ride affects.

also my truck is an 18, I'm not sure i can level the truck and still fit 275/60/20

Okay A little clarification here my 2015 that I just trade it in for the 2018 had to Bilstein 5100 at the top setting and I was running 275 60 R20 s. Yes that was a level. The picture you are saying is currently my 2018 with no level stock tire size Falken wildpeak 275 55 R20 XL. The site is restricting me on picture size so if you want to p.m. me a contact information I can send you some more pictures but my 2015 with the 5100 and the 275 60 R20 s.

Personal experience on my 2.25” leveled 2018 4x4 Z71 6.2 CrewCab.

Installed the level 2.25” up front, added 1” rear block. Instantly noticed a rougher ride even with new 5100’s. Added 275/60/20 KO2’s, they rubbed on the UCA’s!

New wheels with +1 offset and new 285/60/20’s slight run on the inside felt of the fender.

Did the 4.5” CST Lift Kit in order to still use garage, definitely smoother than level with ZERO RUB [emoji6]and now waiting for full install of front CST coilovers and rear CST shocks with resi’s, will update next week after install.
