Factory sub woofer

My new '18 SLT w/ center console has a six speaker Bose system (so says the invoice).  There is an option for a seven speaker Bose system and I can presume the seventh speaker is the sub.

I keep seeing this topic come up where everyone always says that if you have Bose and a center console, you have to have the sub under the console.  I'm saying no you don't because 6-speakers vs. 7-speakers.

Edit:  Ok, after looking closer at my invoice... I originally had the bench seats w/ leather in the front, but the Texas Edition  I have upgraded the seats to include bucket leather fronts (with center console), and "Bose speakers."  I would assume the upgraded Bose included the addition of the sub.

Edit to add further:  The Bose sub sucks!  I don't hear any bass coming from the console at all, just the front dash speakers.  At least I can upgrade to a real sub and know for sure what wiring I have to work with.  I already have a 10" JL sub and I'm going to build a custom box for under the rear bench and add a Rockford Fosgate amp to it for the build.

You may be right, not sure. Do you have the 6.2L? I think the ANC (RPO code NKC) uses the Bose with sub to work properly but if you don't have it then you are probably correct and do not have a sub under the center console.

If you have Bose with a center console it’s the 7th speaker/sub. They word it because of trucks without the center console. It says it when you add full floor console.

Hey, if you do have ANC, you will need to disable the ANC so it doesn't send your JL into freak mode!

I don't think so.  I'll double check but if I do, I know about the ANC delete mod.  I think it's the blue/purple wire in the drivers side rear door harness.  Just clip the wire and tape the leads and you're good.

Yep, I just put a male/female connector while I was there if I ever wanted to reconnect it which I don’t because the Bose sub is horrible. This is another place on the back behind the seat.

Is that the factory amp?  What are those gold wires (look like speaker wires) with the blue leads?  Tell me what you got going on here.

I believe so, I actually did mine in the door sill but strangely it was in the passenger side. The picture is one that someone else posted and it does look like they tapped off of it but the color wire is right. Not sure if they were just showing where it plugs in. Here is a pic without ANC. I save pics for future digging ?
