Can anyone tell me a good sounding (as best as a v6 can sound) exhaust system for 4.3 v6 with out being being obnoxious by saying "just buy a v8" or "itll sound like crap no matter what" i get it i dont have the v8 , i basically wouldnt mind just a dual exahust out the back with the factory muffler, i just like the dual look, is there a kit that converts single tl dual rear outlet from muffler back

I put a MBRP cat back single on my 16 rcsb 4.3 v6.

I think it sounds good.

They do make a dual kit that exits straight back or behind the wheels to the sides.

Here is a couple sound clips.

I’ve got the 4.3 v6 ecotec3 and I got the mbrp dual before rear tire side exit exhaust and I get so many compliments on it I did a muffler delete on it with a y splitter from single to dual to replace the muffler people are amazed when I tell them it’s a v658cbad9f3f7c2a21347f9209af923cc1.jpgca46224a563e080d8479ee2e8ddc4c46.jpg4e3a2519969cf403eb99077219aa173a.jpg7b12d8f37d338de659fc61c3a57978c1.jpg

The tone from these motors is very different but not bad at all.Its not a dual exit but simply deleting the factory valved muffler and adding an tip to the exhaust sounds pretty good on these motors without breaking the bank.

why not try a muffler off the nissan 350Z infinity, or Chysler Crossfire, of any both have a gentlemans' exhaust note, not the loud harsh straight pipe effect, but low frequency like a v8

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
