Well, crap I just joined the club a few hours ago.  That's what I get for commenting.  I was rear-ended while stopped at a light, the other truck was going 45-50mph.  Frame is bent, bed went into the cab, some sort of airbag deployed inside (can't tell what it was dark and chaotic).  So I'm either going to be fighting this same fight soon or looking for a new truck.    Fortunately I do a ton of business with the body shop, they will hopefully help get this thing scrapped!

Wow sorry man, that is some luck you had there. I hope it works out for you how you want it. Glad you are (it seems so at least) ok; that’s most important.

Thanks.  Didn't mean to hijack the thread, might be able to ad to it later though.  We are getting checked out first thing, not feeling so fancy.

Seems to me if you’ve got a bent frame problem, you’re right on topic. Hope it all goes well.

I booted my truck after the frame was straightened. 15 hrs on the frame machine. Got it back it wasn’t tracking right. I have seen to many bent frame vehicles that couldn’t be aligned correctly. Mine jade a 6 inch deference from side to side before being pulled. If you get it back and it’s not driving straight sell it. You don’t want the headache.

Initial look with my body shop...at least a new frame and bed.   They said you can't/don't/shouldn't pull these frames, they get replaced. Now I'm no body expert so there may be varying degrees, but I wouldn't want to be in the same exact accident again with a compromised frame.  We're going to try for a total, but I don't want the truck back no matter what.  I trust their work, but to me broken is broken.  There is no such thing as "pre-accident condition" if your truck is new and perfect.  If I have to eat a fixed truck,  I will fight them for the $ with the body shop on my side, and then it will get traded in.   Will keep ya'll posted.
