Sisu8888
Hi i have a 2007 Silverado 1500 LTZ with active fuel management/flex fuel. Ive been having check engine lights with rich codes and high ethanol readings. It is accompanied by a "kick" from 1-2 shifts, no knocks. I never put ethanol in the tank just 100% gas. I've had it flashed numerous times which makes the truck run great for awhile and the kick from 1-2 goes away, also the fuel trims reset and the problem keeps occurring, sometimes later sometimes sooner. I found this website Https://tis2web.service.gm.com I entered my VIN and found an update, part number 12614088, New software to ensure proper ethanol content calculation. I also clicked on complete history and it showed this update in the history. Now my question is, this complete history shows every update that's possible for my VIN so does that mean my trucks been fully updated or would it possibly need this ethanol update to correct the problem I'm having? I'm at my wits end trying to figure out this problem please can somebody chime in and help out especially if they've fixed this problem or have heard about it, many thanks.
